NOTE:  It is anticipated, dependent upon budget approval, that this engagement will continue into 2016.Years of Experience: 5 plus year
Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study
All roles specified in ISS1 plus the following:  • Define best practice approaches to develop, implement and maintain an informationsecurity program.• Coordinate implementation of information security best practices, hardware, andsoftware, including, but not limited to, network devices, servers, data classification,system management, databases, portal and desktop securities, and ancillaryinformation security appliances such as intrusion detection, prevention and response.• Develop plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorizedmodification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processingneeds. Monitor use of data files and regulate access to safeguard information incomputer files.• Modify computer security files to incorporate new software, correct errors, or changeindividual access status.• Perform risk assessments and execute tests of data processing system to ensurefunctioning of data processing activities and security measures.• Encrypt data transmissions to conceal confidential information as itis being transmitted and to keep out tainted digital transfers.• Identify and track issues, risks and action items.• Document information security policies, standards, and procedures spanning andencompassing the range of topics such as organization security, asset ID andclassification, personal security, communications and operations management,access control, system development and maintenance, business continuitymanagement, and compliance.• Document computer security and emergency measures policies, procedures, andtests.• Confer with users to discuss issues such as computer data access needs, securityviolations, and programming changes.• Train users and promote security awareness to ensure system security and toimprove server and network efficiency.
