Serves as a lead public health informatics specialist II providing policy analysis and scientific and technical skills in public health informatics. This position performs intermediate to advanced, highly complex, varied tasks associated with public health informatics responsibilities with an emphasis on advancing the analytic capabilities of the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH). The Informaticist develops or oversees the development of use cases, business process documentation, workflow analyses for information system development, and advanced analytic and statistical models and methods development to support and advance the ability of DPH to perform complex data analyses and promote data driven public health program decision making to support program goals and operational efficiency.
Primary Duties:
Uses information system(s) and other data sources in collaboration with public health programs and other state and district program staff to evaluate program and population-based performance, evaluations, and outcome measures. Evaluates complex organizational and information systems for the purpose of programmonitoring and evaluation, functionality, and reliability to meet goals and objectives of programs and policies Creates accessible reports of health data for state and local stakeholders and partners. Analyzes, summarizes, and/or reviews data including report findings, interpreting results, andmaking recommendations. Establishes methodologies and protocols for collecting, retrieving, analyzing, and maintaining programmatic data across program areas.Experience required: 5 Years
