Informatics eLearning Specialist II

Under the direction of the Informatics Training Manager, this position utilizes organizational and computer skills to design, develop and implement curriculum and applications to enhance the educational opportunities for all Valleywise Health employees. Assesses educational needs, objectives, and curriculum to determine appropriateness for web-based curriculum development. Designs, develops, and implements all phases of web-based training courses using industry-standard tools. Evaluates the effectiveness of web-based courses and training programs utilizing relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes and modifications. Responsible for the ongoing employee training and management of the LMS. Designs, develops, and delivers basic computer skills and applications courses.   Annual Salary Rate: $68,307.20 - $100,755.20   Qualifications Education: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Technology, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work in lieu of a degree. A Master's degree is preferred and may substitute for the required experience. Experience: Must have a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in designing and developing online/distance training curricula, preferably related to electronic medical records or other clinical application software that demonstrates a strong understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Certification/Licensure: Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Requires knowledge of training methods, procedures, and practices used in software training/education. Requires the ability and skills to collect and analyze data, perform workflow analysis, and translate the outcome into curriculum. Must be able to exercise individual judgment and initiative in conducting the necessary facilitation of training programs; including the ability to coordinate activities with diverse groups and individuals. Must be able to develop initiatives in an innovative manner for effective resolution; prepare and conduct effective presentations; and have the ability to assess priorities and manage eLearning development projects and client expectations through timely, cost-effective deliverables. Must have the ability and knowledge to simultaneously support multiple applications. Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling & punctuation. Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
