The Position

Informatics Site Success Lead

As the Informatics Site Success Lead you will be accountable for the realization of the Informatics strategy and for achieving desired business outcomes with a special focus on Site Services and Workforce enablement aspects. You will be instrumental in ensuring effective and efficient delivery of Informatics services which are used to support business processes for all Roche users at the site, including: 

User Services (Onsite Support, Printers & Multi-functional Devices Support, Mobile Devices and Device Lifecycle Management)

Application Services (Local Demand Management, Interface to Global Applications and to Global Projects, local support to Global Projects)

Infrastructure Services (Interface to other functions e.g. for  Call Center Network, Audio Video Support, Facilities IT Management, and Meeting Services)

Adoption Services (Communication, Change Management and End-User Training and Engagement)

You build trusted partnerships with the Site business stakeholders and the Informatics Domains and Chapter representatives to ensure consistent Informatics strategy delivery in the Site context. You are the Informatics representative in  local leadership teams, a member of the Workforce Enablement Domain Leadership team and partner closely with the Site Services Product Line in the Group Processes Domain.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

Identifies local opportunities, gaps and challenges. Defines and assesses business value of projects and helps Product Teams ensure accurate prioritization and resource allocation to generate the desired value.

Strategy development and realization

Support the development and implementation of the overall Strategy of the Site Services Product Line and the Workforce Enablement Domain  to foster an employee experience centered and  business-oriented culture and mindset with informatics in the site.

Accountable for local value realization of SS&WE Products e.g.  for implementation of global IT strategies in line with local needs. Accountable for local value realization of global products, by leading Workforce Enablement Domain Site focused squads and setting direction on cross Site Domain Priorities and opportunities. 

Develops a deep understanding of the holistic site needs and dependencies (in context of combination of multiple business functions) and key partner to define global strategies for Site Services Product Line and Workforce Enablement Products 

Advance local Domain Vision and Product implementation roadmaps 

Strive for the right balance of scale vs. differentiation and influence portfolio governance

Leadership & Stakeholder Management 

Creates a collaborative, empowered and high performing  Domain Site squad environment to drive adoption and value realization in the Sites

Be the first contact point for the GM at a site for the Site Leadership team, acting as a trusted advisor, building and maintaining relationships with business executives and other IT leaders

Where applicable, represent Informatics towards local employee representation bodies (e.g. workers council) and ensure mutual interest are understood and covered sufficiently.

Fostering collaboration and implementation of new ways of working through inspiration and being a role model.

Acting as Informatics ambassador, explaining  insights of informatics strategies and activities from a local perspective. 

Share Site specific Information and product strategies to different business functions and end users

May also assume the role of local Community Site Engagement Lead for all IT workforce in the site if needed and is responsible for community building and information exchange across the whole Informatics community in the site

Act as coach/mentor to the local SS&WE squad members

The Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable

10+ years of experience in Informatics or IT-related field (including more than 5 years of management experience and corresponding business knowledge)

You will have worked in large, cross-functional teams in an international environment, successfully influencing senior-level management as well as key stakeholders across the organization and within complex contexts

Has high level of technical and business expertise to coordinate numerous partnering teams, and complex business relations with senior leaders

Ability to achieve tangible outcomes in an ambiguous and competitive environment 

Possesses strong business acumen and foundational knowledge in the assigned partnering area

Monitors industry/technology trends and market challenges to proactively identify opportunities and co-create strategic solutions.

Approaches collaborations with a customer centric, entrepreneurial and agile  mindset to navigate through ambiguity, manage and actively reduce complexity and support the Business to make trade-off decisions

Acts with a sense of urgency to come to decisions fast and deliver value early

Promotes innovation, self-regulation, personal accountability and empowerment of direct and indirect team members

Nurtures and develops a business savvy consultative and value driven partnership that can be relied on to steer a constructive discourse and thus come to better decisions.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $143,100 - $256,700 USD Annual.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
