The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Informatics Technical Specialist to join Abbott. Reporting into the Informatics Technical Lead this role will deliver installation, configuration, Integration, training and troubleshooting services for our diagnostics products.
This position works out of Sweden in the Core Diagnostics division. This is a role that combines field work and remote work. Which makes the workday flexible and varied. Primary location: Gothenburg area.

Main purpose of role
A technical expert focused on the end-to-end delivery of the AlinIQ Digital Health applications and at the center of delivering on Abbott's consumer healthcare strategy. Core responsibilities of this role include complex IT implementation, testing, training, and escalation management. Along with the technical aptitude, this role is client facing and individuals need to also possess excellent communication, critical thinking, and other soft skills to ensure high client satisfaction.
Main responsibilities
Responsible for the end-to-end implementation, testing and training of the Abbott Digital applications with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. -
Apply technical IT and networking knowledge to analyze user needs; gather customer requirement; design an integrated, scalable and comprehensive informatics solutions to improve the automation and informatics solutions for clinical diagnostic healthcare customers.
Must be able to multi-task and coordinate with a complex network of departments throughout all levels of an organization such as sales representatives; lab managers; project managers; IT personnel; HIS and LIS personnel; internal and external vendors and contractors; and senior level management as needed.
Serves as an informatics applications expert for more junior members of the organization. Develops mastery of the Abbott processes and ability to lead by example across the Area delivery organization.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. Adheres to and promotes the Abbott Code of Business Conduct.
Qualifications
Education
Computer Science, Information Systems, Medical or Hospital Informatics or related disciplines.
Experience/Background
Minimum 1 year
Healthcare industry experience or 4 years of relevant information technology experience outside of healthcare.
Fluent in Swedish and English.
