Information Management Team Lead

About the position:

This role has responsibility for all aspects of Document Control, 2D and 3D Engineering Information Management (IM) including Digital Twin, and the coordination of drafting services for the ENGINE related engineering and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

Develops and owns the ENGINE Information Management Strategy development and associated implementation plan

Administers and maintains Facilities Engineering Information assets across several Engineering Design tools and applications to support the ENGINE related workflows and processes

Provide the team leadership and performance management for the functional delivery of the ENGINE Engineering team including aspects of hiring, contracting, and maintenance of organisational capability

Develops resources who are responsible for provision of IM services within their business knowledge areas, including guidance and direction to ensure governance and standards are followed

Provide input into continuous improvement of the Engineering IM Framework

Keep abreast of Information Management best practice advancements from a Chevron, E&P industry, legal and regulatory perspective

Establish key partnerships with local providers in the ENGINE vicinity, primarily INDIA with intention to provide a high-quality low-cost service

Provision of a consistent, efficient, cost effective and coordinated Document Management and Data Administration service for ENGINE related businesses including the areas of Operations Facility Engineering, Business Control and Operational Excellence

Efficiently manage redline markups of engineering documentation including back drafting of documents

Developing and maintaining strong, collaborative working relationships with peers within the team and across ENGINE partner organizations to facilitate information exchange, problem solving and professional support – consistent with the ‘Chevron Way’ behaviours

Assist in the deployment of IM tools and systems to ENGINE including system standardisation and external businesses including application SME support and maintenance

Lead development and implement of IM processes and procedures to ensure full lifecycle management of information for ENGINE and supported assets and functions

Lead development and implementation of regular governance activities for Engineering IM processes and tools for ENGINE and supported assets and functions

Required Qualifications:

Degree in an Information Science or Engineering related discipline preferred

15+ years Information Management experience within the Exploration and Production environment essential

Proven track record of developing and implementing Facilities Engineering IM data administration services, processes and tools to support Operational and Project requirements (Brown and Green field activities)

Wide experience of intelligent Engineering Design tools and engineering data warehouse solutions inc. 3D Design, P&ID, etc.

Capable of managing team of engineering tool and engineering data warehouse administrators (Digital Engineers)

Experience of working with External Service Contractors and managing contracts

Capable of performing independent audits

Excellent IT, communications and negotiation skills

Good knowledge of Document Management Systems and its integration with digital asset tools

Strong customer focus
