Information Resources Cloud Manager
Description The Sr. Information Resources Cloud Manager leads a team responsible for designing, developing, and supporting infrastructure systems. You will oversee the daily activities of the platform infrastructure team, ensuring the smooth operation of critical services and applications both on-premises and in the cloud. This includes disaster recovery, managing Windows servers, Active Directory, and cloud services. The ideal candidate holds certifications in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. Key Responsibilities: Manage and lead the platform infrastructure team, ensuring effective operations and service delivery. Maintain, support, and enhance infrastructure and services, both on-prem and in the cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP). Automate build processes using tools like VMWare, Bicep, and Terraform. Build and maintain resilient cloud environments with high availability and scalability. Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and projects to ensure compliance with university and regulatory standards. Lead complex projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope. Collaborate with campus departments to assess technical requirements and provide solutions. Set a clear vision and strategy for the team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Monitor and optimize cloud service performance, usage, and costs. Mentor and support the detail oriented development of cloud engineers. Stay current on emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices. Document cloud architecture, processes, and systems. Ensure security protocols and industry standards are followed. Requirements Qualifications: Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of relevant IT experience. Experience: 8 years of progressively responsible IT experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 10 years of applicable IT experience with a High School Diploma. 4 years in a supervisory or managerial role is preferred. Certifications: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Certified (one or more).
