Summary:

Riverside Healthcare is seeking an experienced Information Security Administrator to ensure the security and integrity of servers, applications, and systems across the organization. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security-focused tools and services, as well as developing and enforcing security policies and procedures. The Information Security Administrator plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization's data, providing Tier 3 support, and delivering security training to both technical and non-technical staff.



Required Licensure/Education:

CompTIA Security+ required to obtain within 12 months of hire if not currently certified

Preferred Licensure/Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred

Required Experience:

2-4 years experience in direct support of enterprise IT environmentsComprehensive knowledge of practices, procedures, and application of various types of information security systems (AV, EDR, SIEM, Sandbox, Email Gateways, Firewalls, VPN, Authentication)Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple security projects simultaneously

Preferred Experience:

May specialize in certain types of equipment requiring special training or experience, but also capable of handling problems with a variety of equipment or systemsExperience with Active Directory and Group Policy a plusExperience in a healthcare setting preferred

Compensation:

Minimum hourly rate: $36.44

Maximum hourly rate: $47.40

 

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Security Architecture and Implementation:

Architect, design, and implement security tools and services to protect servers, systems, networks, authentication, e-mail, and applications.Develop, document, and maintain security protocols, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of electronic communications.Assist in securing Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy configurations.

Policy Development and Training:

Develop and interpret security policies and procedures related to technical controls and systems.Create and deliver security awareness training and specific technology training for staff at all levels.Maintain current knowledge of trends, issues, and regulations in healthcare information security.

System Analysis and Incident Response:

Analyze systems and servers for security vulnerabilities, directing remediation efforts and conducting security reviews.Plan and execute security intrusion response strategies for systems, applications, and servers.Participate in incident handling and contribute to the development of business continuity plans.

Vulnerability Management and Recommendations:

Establish baselines, procedures, and security guidelines for administrative, physical, and technical safeguards.Provide recommendations to management on data protection measures, including evaluating and recommending new security products and technologies.Stay updated on emerging security products and recommend purchases to enhance data security.

Flexibility:

Demonstrate flexibility with assignments within professional scope/duties/licensure.Works above scheduled FTE, as needed, as a salaried professional.

 

Nonessential Duties and Responsibilities:

Participate in the development of new projects and system procedures to ensure that security and business continuity requirements are integrated.Serve as Tier 3 support for end-users, addressing complex security-related issues.Be available for on-call support as scheduled.
