Compensation: $33.42 up to $44.20 per hour
Summary
Information security analysts plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures to protect an organization’s computer networks and systems. May ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure. May respond to computer security breaches and viruses. Information Security Analysts responsibilities are continually expanding as the number of cyberattacks increases. An Information Security Analyst may be required to assist on some network applications and on non-enterprise applications issues. In this capacity, these positions will provide IT Security best practices and support on desktop computers, enterprise applications, operating systems, misc. hardware, peripherals, and software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Monitor organization’s networks for security breaches and investigates violations. Conduct penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in our systems before they can be exploited Help plan and carry out an organization’s way of handling security Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard. Monitor Security console and act on threats to maintain a virus-free environment Ensures authorized access by investigating improper access; revoking access; reporting violations; monitoring information requests by new programming; recommending improvements. Initiate incident response when threats arise Complete change request forms using standard company policies. Consults with vendors and technical staff to resolve technical issues. Acts as IT Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all other IT projects and initiatives Works closely with IT to maintain overall IT Security quality control standards and best practices Ensures the privacy and confidentiality of all personnel matters Ensures integrity and consistency of desktop patching Perform audits and preserve documentation to maintain PCI compliance Handles user problems effectively and escalates problems as needed Create and develop procedures and or processes that others can execute relating to IT Security. Attends meetings and training as required. Researches the latest information technology (IT) security trends.Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or GED required Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred 5 years related Information Security experience in a professional IT environment will be considered.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
A+, Net+, and Sec+ requiredComputer Skills
Must have an advanced understanding of Microsoft Windows and LAN/WAN networking required Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, NIDS/NIPS/HIDS/HIPS conceptsOther Qualifications
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills required. Strong to excellent time management and organizational skills required. Must possess strong customer service and communication skills and the ability to creatively seek out and implement innovative solutions. Must have ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of Senior Staff, Front line and back of house managers, clients, vendors and customers. All Information Security Analyst must be able to work weekends and/or evenings as required. Strong to excellent vendor and Service level management.Language Skills
