The Information Security Analyst will be responsible for researching and advising on technical systems and procedures to safeguard Seneca computer networks and information systems. The Information Security Analyst will identify areas of risk and recommend plans to mitigate risks.

Responsibilities Stay abreast of the latest threats and vulnerabilities known in the industry.Identify threats and vulnerabilities of particular concern to Seneca.Identify products and services for potential use in mitigating threats and vulnerabilities.Formulate recommendations for mitigating identified threats and vulnerabilities.Provide guidance for contractual language as it pertains to Seneca data security and agreements with business partners.Provide assistance with vendor risk management and audits.Maintain documentation related to implemented security policies as well as technical solutions.Provide assistance with Compliance audits including documentation and testing of control and systems.Monitor output of cybersecurity monitoring tools.Analyze for concerning activity patterns.Investigate, respond and/or escalate as appropriate.In the event of data breach, conduct technical and forensic investigation in order to report size and scope of breach as well as to produce recommendations for recovery and future mitigation.Be available to periodically and/or rotationally provide support outside of normal business hours.Demonstrate professional behavior at all times in accordance with Seneca's mission and philosophy.All other duties as assigned by program, region, and agency leadership. QualificationsREQUIRED
Minimum education/experience required:Bachelor's degree ORAssociate degree or equivalent + 1 year of applicable work experience ORHigh school diploma/GED + 2 years of applicable work experience.Applicable work experience includes experience providing support in areas of data security, IT support, or network and systems maintenance.At least 3 years of experience in an Information Technology role beyond the minimum requirement.Information security experience strongly preferred.Experience with:Administration of anti-virus, firewalls, content filtering, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM applications.Creating policies for the platform and how it impacts endpoints.Occasional travel may be required to Oakland office.At least 21 years of age.TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinationPREFERRED
Strong understanding of networking, systems, and endpoint principles and design.Knowledge of data and information security risk assessment processes, tools and methodologies.Knowledge of and experience with technical disaster recovery tools and methodologies.
