How will you make an impact in this role?
Within the Mission Control Governance team, our analysts will assess the resiliency of applications to determine their ability to withstand and recover from disruptions or failures. The primary responsibility of this role is to assess and enhance the resilience of our technological systems and applications within AXP. This includes collaboration with technology and business partners across business functions/processes to ensure alignment, understanding of and ongoing communication on security controls, governance, compliance, and global regulatory guidelines.

You won’t just see just the problem coming, you’ll also see the solution. New threats appear on the horizon daily, so no two days are the same. Responsibilities you can count on doing include:

Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance to AXP and Technology Resilience policies, standards and procedures, and incident response plans. Evaluate the resiliency of existing technology systems, applications, and infrastructure through comprehensive assessments. Knowledge of laws and regulations related to technologies and financial transaction processing.  Experience in PRSA management and adherence to the Sarbanes Oxley Act.  Support resiliency testing and simulations to assess the effectiveness of resilience strategies and improve recovery capabilities. Evaluate and work with technology teams to mitigate any gaps identified through the BIA process to the Application Recovery Time Objective (A-RTO). Monitor industry trends, emerging threats, and global regulatory requirement related to technology resilience and recommend proactive measures. Review outage and availability information on applications in production to assess their resiliency and provide conclusions for root cause analysis activities. Promote awareness of technology resilience principles and practices across the organization. Awareness about principles, frameworks, and best practices and be aware of regulatory and compliance requirements. Risk management acumen - assess regulations to determine how they apply to our organization      Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in supporting Technology Resilience Program/ ITDR for a large financial organization. ·      Familiarity with the concepts of Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Management and/or Technology Risk. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Keen knowledge of international regulations regarding financial institutions and payment entities. Professional certifications (CBCP, CBCI, CISA, CISM or equivalent)  Knowledge/Skills: Specific experience working with financial institutions in business disaster recovery and technology resilience Experienced knowledge using the core tools used in the planning, analyzing, designing, building, testing, configuring and maintaining of assigned application(s) Technical Acumen, Adaptability, Collaboration & Teamwork Continuous Improvement, Drive for Results and Analytical Thinking Documentation & Technical Writing and Problem Solving
