Leadership Pipeline Manage Self: TechnicalJob Purpose

To analyse information security related tasks within the ambit of existing information security policies, standards and processes, procedures and practices as well as business rules. Working independently to deliver on work tasks.  Mentor Administrators and Analyst I. Collaborate with other specialists to execute analysis work tasks, perform operational tasks, question, recommend and update improvements to the existing policies, process and procedures. To ensure stability and up-time for areas the incumbent takes responsibility for, which could require availability  on demand to perform job related duties outside of normal working hours.   

Job Responsibilities

Implementation and support of Cisco Security Devices
Deployment of virtual Cisco Security products.
Deployment of virtual DNS security proudcts.
Liaise with other teams to promote good security practices and explain security procedures
Work with external suppliers to source hardware and software solutions to network security issues
Deploy, test and maintain security systems such as VPNs, firewalls and email security
Ensure that hardware and software are well maintained and able to deal with security requirements
Ensure that current network systems security is suitable for future requirements
Use health monitoring to proactively solve network security related issues and ensure system stability and availability.
Automate operation tasks to improve efficiency
Plan and implement changes mostly implemented outside of the normal business hours.
Stay up to date about security risk and mitigations to constantly strengthen the security
Experience with Azure Stack HCI 
Define and implement security policies, manage firewalls, user access, and intrusion detection systems to protect the network.
Adherence to security standards and regulatory compliance.
Quickly identify and resolve network issues to minimize operational disruptions to ensure reduction Average time to resolve incidents.
Active participation and feedback on Cloud Solution Designs and review sessions
Maintenance and support on Cloud Security DevSecOps Pipelines 
Support, troubleshooting and maintenance of Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings across the Cloud environments
Provide support assistance to the different asset squads within the organisation by facilitating configurations related to Cloud Security
 

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees Essential Certifications

Microsoft Certified Azure DevOPs Engineer (AZ400)
Microsoft Certified AI Fundamentals (AI900) 
Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals (AZ900) 
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ500)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ300&301)
Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist (XP)
Microsoft Certified Systems engineer 2003 (MCSE)
VMware Certified Professional (VCP5 certified)
 

Minimum Experience Level
