How will you make an impact in this role?

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, a proactive mindset to identify and implement process optimizations, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, validate, and implement configuration requests to support business and technology needs.

• Configure and manage firewalls, proxies, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and Web Exception Requests (WER) to align with organizational policies and security standards.

• Perform route planning, NAT configurations, and troubleshooting to resolve access issues efficiently.

• Optimize existing tools, applications, and processes to strengthen current capabilities and address any identified gaps.

• Collaborate with leadership, business, and technology teams to provide technical recommendations, documentation, and reporting.

• Work with highly skilled teams to enhance security infrastructure and implement networking changes effectively.

• Provide technical expertise in LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, and network troubleshooting.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.

• Support technical initiatives related to Information Security and Cloud Security while contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

• Stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and technologies to strengthen the security and performance of network operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in LAN/WAN network operations and expertise in managing Palo Alto Firewalls, routers, and switches.

• Strong knowledge of WAN technologies and protocols, including design best practices and troubleshooting.

• Experience with routing protocols (Static, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), including redistribution and summarization.

• Clear understanding of routing protocol metrics to optimize traffic flow and network performance.

• Proficiency in highly available and redundant networks.

• Knowledge of Spanning Tree and Switching Technologies.

• Solid understanding of Client/Server applications and their dependencies.

• Strong troubleshooting skills using protocol analyzers and other diagnostic tools.

• Proven ability to analyze and solve complex problems, manage risks, and make informed decisions under pressure.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly and train/mentor team members.

• Experience managing relationships and collaborating with external vendors, technology teams, and business partners.

• Palo Alto Certification (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

•Knowledge of Information Security and Cloud Security principles.

• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for process improvement.

• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process optimizations.

• Strong networking skills to collaborate effectively across teams and drive change initiatives.
