Title:
Information System Security Engineer - ISSEKBR is seeking a highly qualified ISSE to provide support for the NRO Mission Operations Directorate (MOD). MOD operates, maintains, and reports the status of intelligence satellites and their associated ground systems, provides defensive space control and space protection, monitors satellite flight safety, and provides space situational awareness. This effort includes support to innovation labs developing new tools, models, and algorithms to operate and exploit satellite space and ground systems.
Responsibilities:
In-depth expertise and experience in determining system security requirements.
Skilled in the design of security layouts or architectures and in determining required security tools and existing tool functionality.
Tasks may include installing systems security software, performing security testing of data processing systems,
Updating computer virus protection systems, repairing security file errors, monitoring access to computer files
Evaluating security violations and training users in security system procedures.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related quantitative science field
3-5 years of in-depth expertise and experience in determining system security requirements
Ability to design security layouts or architectures, determine required security tools and existing tool functionality
Ability to performing security testing of data processing systems, update computer virus protection systems, repair security file errors, monitor access to computer files, evaluate security violations and training users in security system procedures
Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s degree in engineering or related quantitative science field
Experience leading teams resulting in successful verification and test strategies/solutions for complex programs
Experience with cloud development processes
Experience with industry system engineering practices
Strong interpersonal skills in order to influence, collaborate and work effectively with all levels of internal and external leadership.
Knowledge of NRO Mission Operations Directorate
Basic Compensation: $98,890.00 - 148,280.00
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
