Position Overview:

The Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) division, is seeking a GPS IMOSC Alternate Information System Security Officer. This position will support the Global Positioning System (GPS) sustainment program located at Schriever Space Force Base about 10 miles east of Colorado Springs. GPS is a satellite-based radio-navigation system owned by the United States government and operated by the United States Space Force. GPS is the world's largest military satellite constellation and is the world's only global utility. GPS provides position, navigation, and timing data to military and civilian users globally with countless applications and an unlimited number of users.

The GPS IMOSC Alternate Information System Security Officer will be a part of a high-performing team that are immersed in high intensity projects. The Alternate Information System Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), information owner, and system owner for ensuring a proper security posture is in place. They must be capable of performing basic Systems Administrator tasks as well.

Position Responsibilities:

Informal daily system reviewFormal system reviewSCAP updates and scanningNessus updates and scanningCreate Unclassified Cybersecurity ReportCreate Classified Vulnerability Scan ReportReview of vulnerability releasesReview user account activity for complianceNotify users of logon inactivity and training dueMaintain user training materialsUpdate User Account databaseReview of POAMsMaintain security artifactsReview all software, hardware, and system change requests for security impactProcess user account request formsVerify system backupsCreate and verify offsite storageReview Ports, Protocols, & Service (PPS)Update the Boeing Logs, Certification, and Requirements (LCARS) systemSanitize and dispose of old hardware

Basic Qualification (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience OR equivalent years of education and experience

Active U.S. security clearance; secret or above.

Current Security+ certification

Systems Administration and/or ISSO experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Experience integrating cybersecurity solutions into information systems and its processes

Experience with Splunk Security tools

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range - Associate, Level 2: $74,800 - $101,200

Summary Pay Range - Experienced, Level 3: $92,650 - $125,350

Export Control Requirements: This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
