This is an onsite backup position in Elkins, West Virginia. Candidates must have a current TS/SCI Clearance   Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: Provide IT support for Office of the Secretary (OSEC) Continuity of Operations (COOP) Emergency Relocation Facility. Serve as the Communications Point of Contact for the Office of the Secretary (OSEC) Continuity of Operations (COOP) Emergency Relocation Facility.  Perform and certify inventory every six months of all equipment located in the SCIF Room.  Maintain accurate and current COMSEC records. Maintain COMSEC Devices. Assist users with accessing classified network systems. Assist users with utilizing secure communications conference rooms. Conduct Periodic Testing of Secure Communications Systems. Serves as the on-site security coordinator. Able to respond onsite to an alarm within 15 minutes. Able to be onsite 24/7 in the event of an alarm failure. Serves as COOP Manager during all COOP Emergency Activations. Conduct inventory reconciliation for all USDA COOP assets. Provide Alternative Location Support. Requirements: Current TS/SCI Clearance. Desktop computer support experience.  Networking background. Network Router and Switch operations and troubleshooting. Basic Telephony and Network Wiring / Troubleshooting. COMSEC User Experience. Basic understanding of COMSEC Handling Procedures. Familiarization with NSA Approved Encryption Devices. Familiarization with management and oversight of secure work areas approved for the use Classified National Security Information. Travel Requirements: May be required to travel and support other alternative locations, performing the same job functions above. Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
