At GDIT, people are our differentiator. Our work depends on an ISSE joining our CNIC Applications ISSE team which provides Authorization and Accreditation support of Commander, Navy Installation Command (CNIC) applications.
HOW OUR INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Guides program managers and thru RMF process expediting control implementation/policy creation to achieve/maintain 3-year ATO
Authors Standard Operating Procedures, policies, and IA plans of action to ensure systems compliance with Federal/DoD guidance.
Maintains system eMASS records, uploads artifacts, updates security controls, and initiates workflow for steps in RMF process.
Develops system concepts and applies systems engineering life cycle to translate strategic Cyber objectives, technology, and environmental conditions into engineering outcomes and solutions.
Advises system owners and stakeholders on new developments and advanced cybersecurity techniques.
Reviews and analyze system implementation plans.
Identified corrective actions/mitigation strategies to achieve/sustain RMF compliance.
Validates STIG development/implementation.
Develop/maintain Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M) which account for confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Perform selection, implementation, validation, and establishment of baseline of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Control Correlation Identifiers (CCI).
Reviews McAfee and VRAM reporting
Reviews ACAS findings
Provides ISSO Support
Attends and participates in Weekly and Bi-Monthly Meetings
Coordinates with SDP Hosting Center via IssueTrak tickets
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Security Clearance Level: Active Secret clearance with completed T5 Investigation
Required Experience: 8 years of relevant IT experience
Cybersecurity, Systems Administration, implementation of RMF tools and processes
SCAP, STIG, Patching, eMASS and related RMF tools
Required Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT II compliant – Security+ CE
Education: BS Degree or equivalent Computer Science or IT related degree
Location: Hybrid - Onsite 2 days a week in Norfolk, VA and Remote
