Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking an Information Technology Infrastructure Lead to direct and manage the infrastructure team and provide technical and tactical leadership to leverage people, processes, and technology to deliver superior service and support.

 

This position manages day-to-day infrastructure operations for Datacenter & Branch Office Servers, Storage, Backups, Microsoft 365 and Azure. The Infrastructure Lead is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing staff for overall operations, ensuring stable administration and operations of the infrastructure for all on-premise and cloud-based systems. The Infrastructure Lead will schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software issues/problems promptly and accurately, minimizing impact to end users.

Responsibilities Perform and oversee all of the said functions - Design, Implement, Operate, Troubleshoot, Manage, Support and Upgrade - for all Carollo IT Infrastructure including but not limited to Windows Servers, Virtual Environments (Hyper-V and VMWare), Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Storage (SAN, NAS), Backup/Archive & Restore/Retrieve services, Microsoft 365 and Azure as per best practices and ISO 27001 and ISO 20000 standards.Work with IT Leadership and Management to develop and execute IT Infrastructure strategy.Lead all efforts for the review and determination of capacity, performance, and communication bandwidth requirements for applications - both on-premise and cloud-based services; Evaluate solutions proposed by vendors, identifying best fit for organization requirements.Collaborate with other IT functions groups (Operations - Technical Support, ProjectWise, Network, Automation and Applications, Security/Compliance) in the plan, design, test activities as needed, for projects and initiatives.Be the senior-level escalation for problems/issues, manage incidents to resolution and satisfaction, participate in postmortem review discussions, and propose long-term solutions. Coordinate and execute changes for production systems and applications. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role (Team Lead / Manager)Minimum of 10 years of direct, related experience in Infrastructure with 3-4 years of progressively increasing responsibilities (Sr. Engineer/Architect to Team Lead roles)Strong knowledge and real-world expertise in all Microsoft technologies and solutions including but not limited to Windows Servers, Active Directory, System Center (SCCM), File Servers, DFS, Azure, Office365 and Exchange on-premises and onlineExtensive experience in virtualization technologies including Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware vSphere and VDIStrong knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP, SNMP, SMTP, SSL, SSH, DNS, DHCP and LDAP Ability to manage a team and to promote a collaborative team environment.Knowledge of industry standards and framework (ITIL, ISO 27001, ISO 20000)Project Management skills and experience: financial/budget management, scheduling and resource management Preferred Qualifications Experience with contract and vendor negotiationsUp-to-date knowledge of methodologies and trends in both business and ITExcellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate information concepts to technical and non-technical audiences at various hierarchical levelsAbility to lead and motivate the information infrastructure team to achieve tactical and strategic goals, even when only "dotted line" reporting lines existExcellent stakeholder management skillsExcellent analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, as well as the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment and meet overall objectives Pay Range

$110,000 to $140,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
