Yes County New York Street Address 199 Church St City New York State NY Zip Code 10007 Duties Description • As a member of NYSIF’s Vulnerability Management Team, this position will play a role in supporting Application and Infrastructure security scanning processing to protect meet the essential business needs of the agency. They will assist in investigating systemic vulnerability trends to improve NYSIF’s product risk posture by reducing preventable vulnerabilities and false positives.Duties include but are not limited to:• Actively pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree with a related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, IT, Cyber-Security).• Familiarity with basic cybersecurity concepts and technologies.• Understanding of scripting languages, such as JavaScript, PowerShell and Python.• Participate in the development and enhancement of security policies and procedures.• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an attention to detail.• Ability to provide independent analysis and quick investigation.• Ability to collaborate with other team members and organizational functions.#li-dni Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:• Be actively enrolled in a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State.• Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a longer period may qualify part-time students for participation in the program) or be a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program.• Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or the letter grade equivalent.• Must be able to work at least part-time summer (10-15 hours per week, with the opportunity to work fall and spring depending on availability); full-time summer hours preferred.Preferred Qualifications:• Preferred Major(s): Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics or Data Science Additional Comments Please note, the hourly pay rate displayed includes location pay and/or geographic pay.
