\nPosition Statement
\nThe Information Technology Manager is responsible for the implementation of Information Technology (IT) in the hotel in accordance with Hilton’s IT strategies and priorities, as well as measuring IT costs, benefits and performance in the hotel and providing this information to hotel management and the Regional Information Systems Manager.
\nWhat will you be doing?
\nAs the Information Technology Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\nMaximize and protect hotel profitability through the leverage of IT, training and operational best practices.\nMaximize opportunities to reduce IT costs through effective purchasing & negotiating maintenance contracts.\nIdentify and propose opportunities to augment revenue.\nEnsure that any system user permission has been authorized before opening, monthly audit user use report, ensure that it has been used correctly. \nResponsible for the management and control of all IT expense according to an agreed plan.\nEnsure a business continuity plan is established and tested for all parts of the business.\nEnsure the highest possible IT service is provided to the agreed standards and best practices.\nWork with Business Management to expedite access and better utilization of information.\nSolve guest IT questions with minimum risk and improve guest satisfaction according to defined criteria. \nEnsure guest IT queries are managed to defined standards with minimal risks.\nEnsure brand standards are communicated and maintained for Guest and Business Service.\nEnsure ownership of all hotel data and ensure that data is backed up in a timely manner.\nConsistently promote the brand and encourage the use of the brand by IT suppliers.\nEnsure IT resources are maintained in the hotel to support the commercial & business needs. \nIdentify and ensure all hotel data has ownership and accountability within the organization.\nProvide IT support to other Hilton hotels when required.\nManage and monitor local vendors and / or local representatives of global / area vendors.\nEnsure that hotel data is secured and in line with stated standards and best practices.\nEnsure access control is in line with stated standards and best practices.\nEnsure regular self-evaluations of IT practices are completed and communicated.\nMaintain standards and best practices in the hotel and evaluate compliance and ensure machine room access registration and safety.\nComplete disaster recovery drills regularly to familiarize operational departments with manual bookkeeping procedures. \nCommunicate status, risks, and opportunities to the General Manager, hotel Management and Regional & Area IT Management. \nAdhere to the hotel’s security and emergency policies and procedures.\nEnsure that all team members have a complete understanding of and adhere to the hotel’s team member rules and regulations.\nFully compliance on Audit requirement and assessment.\nManage local implementation projects.\nWhat are we looking for?
\nAn Information Technology Manager serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
