The Security Systems Administrator will plan, develop, operate, maintain, and evaluate security systems, processes, and procedures _so that data and access are secure, confidential, and not compromised._ They will ensure that data is secure and meets confidential Multi-State Lottery (MUSL) standards so that the integrity of the data cannot be compromised or manipulated. _This position is also responsible for supporting the Lottery's Security Department needs and serving as the technical expert on security systems relating to cameras, badge access (proxy readers), and alarm systems. They will serve as a resource person to other staff in the department, including the Director of Security, Audit and Compliance (DSAC)._ **Minimum Qualifications** **_To facilitate proper credit. your resume must clearly describe your experience and skills in the areas listed below and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job held._** Position requires a minimum of three (3) years of information technology experience that includes: + Knowledge of current information systems and security systems such as camera systems, badge key (proxy reader) systems, and alarm systems + Ability to analyze computer hardware or software malfunctions and develop viable solutions under extremely tight time constraints to ensure that data and processes are not compromised + Ability to read, interpret and implement established specifications and communicate technical information in simple written and oral instructions to non-technical staff/users. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with a wide range of backgrounds, who do not share your same culture, ethnicity, language, or other common experiences. ***A Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field substitutes for eighteen months of experience, OR a related Bachelor’s degree substitutes for one year, OR a related Associate’s substitutes for six months.** **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field + Strong written and verbal communication skills sufficient to develop, communicate and explain complex technical issues to all levels of staff and customers + Experience interpreting detailed flow charts and diagrams. + Ability to communicate technical information in simple written and oral instructions is necessary + Able to adapt instruction techniques to meet the learning styles of a diverse staff. **Additional Requirements** The Minnesota State Lottery will conduct a criminal background check and fingerprint check at the time of job offer for all prospective new employees.
