Responsibilities As a Information Technology Specialist, at the full performance level, you will perform the following duties: Advance ICE AI priorities by applying their knowledge and expertise of AI/ML technologies and the product life cycle. Develop product vision, strategies, and road maps. Basic Qualifications: In order to meet basic qualifications for GS-2210 positions, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the competencies defined below: Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Specialized Experience: In addition to demonstrating the basic qualifications listed above, applicants must also demonstrate possession of specialized experience. You qualify at the GS-15 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level performing duties such as: Develops materials to enhance the understanding of AI/ML concepts and benefits across the organization. Leads and supports policy initiatives for AI/ML, providing both consultation and substantive input on systems or policy proposals, and/or provides technical policy and programmatic guidance to government leaders at the most senior levels. Researches and determines or recommends appropriate actions or interpretation of issues impacting the organization. Leads technology projects to provide a unique service, platform, or product. coordinates, communicates, integrates, and is accountable for the overall success of projects, ensuring alignment with critical agency priorities. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
