Responsibilities Under general supervision, performs routine and recurring assignments in the delivery of Information Technology customer support services. Participates in the planning and delivery of a full range of Information Technology customer support services to the organization. Provides information and assistance to customers including system hardware/software installations, configuration, upgrades and troubleshooting. Applies information security and information assurance policy, principles and practices. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Work experience, education, and/or specialized intensive training sufficient to demonstrate IT knowledge and skill in: - Participating in the planning and delivery of a full range of IT customer support services; - Installing, configuring, upgrading and trouble shooting hardware and software components; - Presenting formal and informal training and assistance to customers; - Reporting, responding to, and resolving customer requests. -OR- Qualifying education is graduate education in one of the following fields of study: computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, or technology management, or has provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. In describing your experience, be clear and specific. -Highly Qualified Criteria 1. Possesses experience managing a complete AD environment containing domain controllers, DNS and DHCP servers. 2. Possesses experience with establishing and maintaining VPNs, connectivity between multiple sites and setting up the required router/firewall equipment and the ability to troubleshoot complex network routing issues and log files. 3. Possesses experience in managing and setting up virtual environments, preferably with VMware. 4. Possesses experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues. 5. Pay-Band Allowances and Differential Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. Sunday premium may be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Night differential may be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Foreign Overseas Allowances Allowances, differentials, or incentives will be paid. These allowances may include Living Quarters Allowance (LQA), Temporary Quarters Subsistence Allowance (TQSA) and requires a Transportation Agreement in accordance (IAW) the provisions of the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR). Post allowance may be paid in accordance with the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR), contingent upon eligibility.
