The Information Technology Office is looking for Student assistants who will support the office in answering questions and staffing computer lab or equipment center locations.

Responsibilities:This is a customer service student position with responsibilities that include assisting with: In-person questions, answering phone call Answering chats on the Information Technology (IT) website Providing support for the New School technology learning spaces.
Work Mode: On-Campus Position – Employees in this position are expected to work on-campus during regularly scheduled work hours due to the nature of the work being that which is not feasible, or not in the best interest of the organization, to be performed remotely. Work hours: Regular weekly schedule that can include weekend and evening shifts
Hourly Rate : $16 – 18 per hour Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:● Must be customer service-oriented, including an abundance of patience, kindness, and helpfulness.● Must be tech-savvy with a willingness to learn basic technical troubleshooting.● Ability to work within IT guidelines and enforce policy and procedures.● Available to work at least 3 shifts per week, up to a maximum of 19 hours per week. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:● Previous experience in a customer service role.● Comfort in assisting with basic technology troubleshooting and support.● Stellar communication skills.● Knowledge of audio/video equipment and multi-media design applications● Ability to assess problems, troubleshoot, escalate, and report on issues.● Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.● Ability to collaborate with multiple teams in the Information Technology organization.
