We are seeking a mid-level Infotainment Component Test Engineer to join our Farmington Hills, MI team.

A Day in the Life:

Develop detailed test plans to validate Nissan and Infiniti Infotainment user interface software, functionality, and integration with other in-vehicle modules.

Oversee the software development and release schedule for assigned projects.

Manage deliverables for assigned vehicle programs, including progress meeting materials, test completion status, and coordination of test scheduling with team members within the Infotainment Test Group.

Possess a strong understanding of Infotainment systems and domains such as Connectivity, Tuner, Media, Phone Projections, and overall system testing knowledge, both HMI and Functional.

Conduct exploratory and regression testing to identify defects. Collaborate with Nissan counterparts and suppliers to bring issues to closure.

Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to infotainment systems, ensuring high availability and performance.

Stay updated with industry trends and technologies, proposing and implementing improvements to telematics systems and processes.

Who We’re Looking For:

Proficient in CAN/Ethernet communication and diagnostic tools such as Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, etc.

Experienced in vehicle-level troubleshooting, diagnostics control, and using various test equipment (meter, oscilloscope, power supply, etc.).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of troubleshooting complex technical issues.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, practical in a team environment.

Adapting to changing technologies and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 4+ years of experience in testing Automotive Infotainment, Cluster, or Telematics units.

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Physical Requirements:

Travel:

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Up to 15% of domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Overtime:

Willingness to work overtime as necessary to complete the job.
