Infra Sevices VDI Engineer
Position Summary

As an experienced Infra Services VDI Engineer/Project Delivery Senior Analyst you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. Work you’ll do/Responsibilities  

This project is to provide services to our client to support their medical benefits management applications, their VMWare infrastructure, VDI components and support their user base.

VDI Environment Management:

Design, deploy, and manage VDI solutions using platforms such as VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the VDI infrastructure.Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to VDI components to ensure security and stability.

Support and Troubleshooting:

Provide Level 2/3 support for VDI-related issues, including performance tuning and optimization.Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues within the VDI environment.Assist end-users with VDI-related problems and provide technical support.

Capacity Planning and Optimization:

Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis to ensure the VDI environment meets current and future demands.Implement and manage resource allocation policies to optimize the use of VDI resources.

Security and Compliance:

Ensure the VDI environment complies with organizational security policies and industry standards.Implement security best practices and perform regular security audits of the VDI infrastructure.

Backup and Disaster Recovery:

Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for the VDI environment.Test and validate backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed documentation of the VDI environment, including configurations, procedures, and policies.Generate regular reports on the performance, capacity, and health of the VDI infrastructure.

Qualifications

Required

3-5 years of experience in VDI support and administration3+ years of hands-on experience with VDI platforms such as VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experienceLimited immigration sponsorship may be availableAbility to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred Qualification

Analytical/ decision making responsibilitiesAnalytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work productsCan operate independently or with minimum supervisionExcellent written and communication skillsAbility to deliver technical demonstrations
