Infrastructure Analyst - Tech Resilience & Recovery

A successful candidate will be able to build, plan, and perform all activities related to Technology Recovery Plan reviews, enhancements, and updates. Ability to work with all technology engineering and application development teams to identify improvements that ensure systems meet the highest standards of resiliency. Plan, develop, and facilitate multiple recovery and/or resilience exercises to ensure systems can recovery from potential impacting events. The capability to train, teach, and assist in the development of junior analyst’s technical abilities. This position will assess, collaborate, and report on the success and failures of recovery planning, testing, and process improvements bank wide.Primary Responsibilities: Work with Technology teams to plan, design, and test the resilience solutions for all critical and non-critical systems to support the bank wide technology resilience program.Conduct, assess, and review detailed Technology Risk assessment and Business Impact AnalysisReview completed Technology Application Impact Analysis for accuracy.Develop resilience reports that identify gaps and recommendations from Technology Risk assessment and Business Impact AnalysisMaintains advanced knowledge on the current and emerging developments/trends for IT Disaster Recovery technology and resilience solutions.Lead discussions with technical engineering teams to understand the evolving architectures to plan, design and test the resilience solutions.First & Second level advanced reviews, enhancements, and the ability to provide recommendations for Application Team Technology Recovery Plans.Review and update the completeness of technology recovery plans and procedures for critical technology systems and applications for completeness.Continuous improvement and learning about emerging threats, technologies, and best practices in technology/disaster recovery and resilience.Design, plan, coordinate, and execute technology resilience test/exercise with recovery teams for all critical technology systems and applications.Develops and delivers interactive “town hall” and live session presentations to our stakeholders, and business teams of the Technology Recovery & Resilience program and testing exercise events.Develops and delivers presentation for various company events with teams, leadership, and other stakeholders regarding our program, exercises, and other team developments.May lead direct communications between the Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Tech Operations, Technology Architecture and Engineering, and Systems Development teams.Leads the discussions for the department in enhancing, formalizing, and standardizing the DR planning process, including forecasting, and tracking mechanisms to facilitate timely accommodation of bank recovery requirements and opportunities.Education and Experience Required: Minimum of 8 years’ higher education and/or work experienceMinimum of seven (7) years of working experience in enterprise IT System Infrastructure Recovery and Resilience methodologiesMinimum of seven (7) years’ experience with Microsoft Office systems (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in other technology administration and/or engineering fields for design, building, and/or support of technology systems or platforms.Minimum of three (3) years’ professional experience with Power Bi Data Visualizations or equivalent systems.Expert knowledge and understanding of current Disaster Recovery planning techniques and technologies.Expert knowledge of disaster recovery, technology resilience, or business continuity concepts such as RTO, RPO, MTD, AIA, BIA, etc.Expert experience in planning and executing technology recovery testing exercises for applications and related technologies/systems contained within enterprise data centers and Cloud platform.Must have experience and demonstrated proficiency in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and/or Technology Resilience program execution, managing process change projects, and knowledge of the disaster recovery program lifecycle.Expert experience in development, design, and/or implementation of multiple different architecture designs, platform/system integrations, technologies, and industry standard implementation methodologies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to interact with business partners of varying associate and management levels regularly and independently within both technology and non-technical staff to ensure clarity of the problem/opportunity and elicit business requirements. Seek to expand knowledge and understanding of financial services trends, practices, and technologies on a continuous basis.Follow and promote use of industry best practices, standards, and procedures. Ability to translate complex business and functional requirements into structured high-quality implementations using any variety of industry standard approaches.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others in team environment. Able to solicit, gather, document, and analyze system specification and requirements. Able to learn quickly in a rapid pace environment.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $85,104.04 - $141,840.07 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
