Position Description
Manager Business Infrastructure Management VCE (Volvo Construction Equipment)
You will have to manage of a team of Business Infrastructure Managers, taking care of their mission, performance and development. Their role is to manage the above services for Volvo Construction Equipment (VCE): capture business needs related to end-user services and IT infrastructure, and translate them into deliveries or services development, communicate about the solutions, manage the budgets and the quality, etc... The position is also to be the Lead BIM for VCE, meaning being the main IOS interface for VCE on the scope of services described above.
As a Business Infrastructure Manager, you will facilitate the planning and execution of business changes supporting the overall transformation and digitalization of the Volvo Group. In this position, you will be reporting to the Head of Business Infrastructure Management and be part of the BIM management team. You operate in a global context and collaborate with various functions. These include the VCE CDO organization, IOS Service Management, IOS OnSite, our partner HCL, and other IT stakeholders within Volvo Group.
Key Responsibilities
Your role involves capturing the IT service needs of Volvo business entities and ensuring they align with Group IT strategies, service development, and deployment roadmaps. You will plan, prioritize, and oversee VCE requests for existing IT services, ensuring their successful delivery. Additionally, you will manage IT equipment expenses and capital budgets on behalf of VCE.
Building strong relationships with business stakeholders and Volvo Group Digital and IT teams is essential, particularly in the areas of Infrastructure and IT services. You will also coordinate the site IT contacts community regionally to ensure a consistent user experience at key VCE locations.
Driving the deployment and efficient adoption of new IT services, as well as optimizing the use of existing ones, will be a key focus. As a member of the Business Infrastructure Management team, you will contribute to the Infrastructure Portfolio’s Service Strategy and Design in collaboration with the Service Management Team.
Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in coaching, developing, and supporting business infrastructure managers within your team. Managing all aspects of team leadership, including recruitment, retention, competence development, and salary setting, will also be part of your responsibilities.

Required Competencies & Leadership Skills
Education & Technical Expertise
Relevant university degree in Information Technology or equivalent. Strong experience in IT infrastructure design, delivery, and/or support. Deep knowledge of IT services and infrastructure, with at least an advanced user level in one or more areas of the Volvo Group Digital & IT service catalog.
Business & Strategic Acumen
Business-oriented mindset with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders. Strong project management skills and experience working in complex environments. Excellent prioritization and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remove roadblocks and adapt quickly to new challenges.
Leadership & Collaboration
Proven leadership experience, either as a line manager or in a functional leadership role. Experience developing, coaching, and leading people in a global setting. Strong focus on cross-unit collaboration to enhance delivery efficiency. Ability to execute against set targets with integrity, trust, and managerial courage.
Communication & Language Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Full professional proficiency in English
