Brief Overview

As an Infrastructure Architect in our Defence and National Security business, you will play a crucial role in responding to change requests from one of our customers, assisting colleagues in elevating their technological skills and knowledge, and ensuring successful delivery of infrastructure. You will have significant experience of a variety of infrastructure technology including software solutions from Microsoft, VMware as well as those focussed on operational monitoring, backup and security. 

Your role

Design infrastructure solutions to meet customer needs including stringent security requirements. Collaborate with other subject matter experts to integrate solutions with existing systems and technologies. Mentor and advise colleagues working on gaining or augmenting their own skills. Provide technical expertise and support during the testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues. Develop and maintain documentation including architectural diagrams, standard operating procedures, and technical guides. Keep updated on technologies, trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements:

Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure including operating systems, operational monitoring and backup and recovery. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and scripting for infrastructure automation. Knowledge and experience of working to one or more recognised security standards, frameworks or benchmarks. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Relevant certifications are highly desirable. Eligibility and willingness to undergo UK security vetting, ideally to DV level.
