THE WORK:
+ You'll develop and manage comprehensive cost plans and budgets for all project phases, ensuring alignment with owner objectives. Prepare and present detailed cost reports, including budget status, cost variances, cash flow forecasts, and financial trends. Ensure transparent communication of financial data and recommendations to project managers, design teams, and stakeholders.
+ You'll collaborate with estimators to validate and refine cost estimates during the inception and planning phases. Review and challenge cost assumptions to ensure realistic, accurate, and competitive pricing. Provide input on contract terms, payment schedules, and financial provisions to align with project and owner objectives.
+ You'll conduct cost forecasting and monitor financial performance to maintain adherence to approved budgets. Track actual expenditures, commitments, and variances, providing regular updates to owner stakeholders.
+ You'll identify cost risks and collaborate with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies, minimizing financial exposure.
+ You'll assess and manage the financial impact of changes to project scope, design, or schedule to ensure that associated costs and variations are properly managed, documented, and communicated. Maintain a detailed change order log and ensure all approvals follow established protocols.
+ You'll identify and propose cost-saving opportunities and value engineering initiatives without compromising quality or performance. Collaborate with design and construction teams to optimize resource allocation and minimize waste, ensuring cost efficiency.
+ You'll ensure adherence to client policies, financial standards, and regulatory requirements (SOX Compliance). Conduct periodic audits and reconciliations to uphold accuracy, accountability, and transparency in project costs.
+ You'll implement and maintain robust cost control systems to ensure accurate monitoring and management of project financials. Establish and maintain a robust database of cost benchmarks tailored to mission-critical data center projects.
+ You'll provide a comprehensive financial summary to support owner records and future project benchmarking.
+ You'll manage financial closeout activities, including the preparation of final cost reconciliations and detailed cost reports. Ensure all financial obligations, such as contractor payments and claims, are resolved before project handover.
+ Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

$90,000 - $155,000 a year
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth below. We accept applications on an on-going basis and there is no fixed deadline to apply.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred, or additional four (4) years of related experience.
+ 8+ years of experience in construction cost management, preferably within data center or mission-critical construction projects.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
+ Proven ability to manage large budgets and deliver complex financial reporting.
+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with experience creating detailed reports and presentations.
+ Proficiency in cost management tools and software (e.g., CostX, Procore, SAP, Oracle). Proficiency in Microsoft and GSuite tools.
+ Solid understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and construction methodologies.
+ Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) systems and their cost drivers.
+ Familiarity with industry standards such as AACE, RICS, or similar frameworks is preferred.
+ PMP Certification, Six Sigma Certification
+ Data analytics and PowerBI capability
+ Ability to travel or relocate to project areas
