Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility
The PS / Technical Consultant role requires a highly motivated individual who is confident and comfortable with rapid changes in direction and environment, taking ownership of the tasks assigned. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Dynatrace monitoring platform, ensuring optimal performance, and troubleshooting of applications, infrastructure, and system environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless monitoring and ensuring that our application environments are running efficiently.
Key functions include:
Install, configure, and manage Dynatrace monitoring solutions across the enterprise infrastructure.
Administer and maintain Dynatrace environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
Set up and configure application monitoring for different environments.
Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to optimize application performance and resolve issues related to monitoring.
Create and manage dashboards, reports, and alerts to monitor application health, infrastructure performance, and user experience.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in production, staging, and development environments.
Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization to improve monitoring efficiency and reduce overhead.
Ensure proper integration of Dynatrace with other monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
Automate repetitive tasks and processes using Dynatrace APIs and other tools.
Provide guidance and training to other teams regarding best practices for Dynatrace use.
Maintain system updates, patches, and configurations for Dynatrace software.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve monitoring capabilities and systems.
Provide technical support and resolve escalated Dynatrace-related incidents or service requests.
Monitor application, system, and network performance to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact end-users.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of relevant work experience with as a Dynatrace Administrator or in a similar role, with deep knowledge of Dynatrace products.
Strong understanding of application performance monitoring, infrastructure monitoring, and cloud environments.
Hands-on experience with application performance management and diagnostic tools.
Proficient with scripting languages for automation tasks.
Familiarity with cloud technologies and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and how they integrate with Dynatrace.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze logs, traces, and metrics to determine the root cause of issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong time management skills.
Experience with JIRA.
Ability to learn and understand complex design systems.
Knowledge of Retail domain is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to get Public Trust security clearance.
Experience with large retail solutions.
Certification in Dynatrace or related APM tools.
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration.
Experience with other monitoring platforms.
