Infrastructure Engineer | Video Conferencing
**Job Title:** **Video Conferencing** (Infrastructure) **Engineer** **Location:** **Hybrid in Columbus OH** **Work Schedule:** **M-F** **Contract Details:** **12mo contract to hire** **Pay Rate:** **$55hr** **Candidates:** **US Citizens or Green Cards** **|** Role is not open to visas or sponsorships We are seeking an experienced Video Conferencing Engineer to deploy and support modern video conferencing systems across our service territory. This role requires expertise in designing, engineering, coordinating installations, and troubleshooting systems. The position involves collaborating with various teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure technology solutions for computer, network, storage, cloud, and end-user systems. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Lead complex infrastructure projects related to computer, network, storage, cloud, and end-user systems. 2. Plan, research, design, and evaluate performance of enterprise infrastructure systems. 3. Provide advanced technical support, including system administration and troubleshooting. 4. Ensure compliance with change and incident management protocols. 5. Prepare cost estimates, technical justifications, and recommendations. 6. Lead work activities, providing guidance and direction to team members. 7. Document technical procedures, manuals, reports, and standards. 8. Support budgeting processes and annual project planning. 9. Mentor team members and provide functional/technical leadership. **Specific to Video Conferencing Engineering:** + Design, implement, and maintain video conferencing systems across multiple office locations. + Coordinate installations and work with vendors for equipment setup. + Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and user education for MS Teams and Zoom. + Ensure video conferencing hardware (cameras, microphones, etc.) is properly configured and integrated with network/security protocols. + Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support related to video conferencing. **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. + 7 years of relevant infrastructure experience. + 4 years of video conferencing software experience (MS Teams, Zoom). + Experience with video conferencing hardware. + Proficiency in network and security configurations. + Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. **Additional Requirements:** + Willingness to work on-site ~50% of the time, based on project needs across Columbus, OH. + Local travel within the Columbus area (New Albany, Gahanna offices, etc.) may be required. + Potential for occasional after-hours work during installations.
