Job Summary
Part of a larger team delivering high quality Computer, Network, Storage and End-User Infrastructure technology solutions, on-going support to the business. Assists with infrastructure project assignments. Helps plan, research, evaluate, design, and engineer the enterprise's technology infrastructure. Helps provide technical support and troubleshooting, cost estimates, justifications, and recommendations. Produces technical documentation, support and configuration. Helps manage, plan, and maintain technical platforms including upgrading systems. Monitors system performance and installs and configures hardware. Responsible for collaborating with other Job Families such as Project Managers, Architects, Solution Engineers, Technicians, Business Analysts to deliver consistent, reliable technology solutions that leverage AEP's technology standards, architectures and best practices.Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
Working under direct supervision, responsibilities include the following related to Computer, Network, Storage, Cloud and End-User infrastructure: Perform basic & routine infrastructure project assignments.
Provides subject matter expertise on Microsoft 365 technologies
Works directly with business partners, other IT teams and IT leaders
Evaluates upcoming changes with M365 technologies for communication & education opportunities
Assists the organization with maximizing value of our M365 investments
Documents business requirements
Assists with planning, researching, evaluating, designing, and developing systems.
Provides basic technical support and assists with analysis, operation, administration, and troubleshooting activities. Assists with the preparation of cost estimates, justifications, application requirements, alternative solutions, and technical recommendations.
Participates in the preparation of technical documentation including procedures, manuals, and reports.
Reviews and adheres to budgeting and approval processes while assisting with annual and project planning.
Minimum Requirements:
Infrastructure Engineer Associate (SG5):
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, telecommunications, engineering, or related technical field is required.
Experience: No additional experience is required.
An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
Infrastructure Engineer (SG6):
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.
Experience: 2 years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience/Skills:
Experience as an IT Analyst/Engineer managing cloud-based end user technologies (collaboration, financials, HR/payroll, CRM, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft 365 technologies
Experience engaging directly with business partner and IT leaders
Excellent communication and presentation skills
1-3 years of experience engineering solutions with M365 or similar technologies, security controls, tenant administration and providing subject matter expertise
Compensation:
Infrastructure Engineer Associate (SG5): $61,647- $77,057
Infrastructure Engineer (SG6): $72,380.00-$90,474

$61,647.00-77,057.50 USDCandidates will be considered based on their qualifications and the candidate’s ability to work from an approved work location. Although the location is flexible, AEP does not have a presence in all states and localities. The following locations are NOT currently approved for this position: AK, CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, IA, ID, KS, MA, ME, MS, MT, ND, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OR, RI, SD, UT, VT, WY, US Territories or international work locations. AEP will consider qualified candidates who are willing to relocate to an approved work location, at the candidate’s expense, provided the relocation can be completed within a timeframe that meets AEP’s staffing needs.
