Infrastructure Engineer II

As an Infrastructure Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Banking Team, you develop knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Through this work you begin to apply your proficiency in a single application or technical methodology.

 

Job responsibilities

 

Applies technical knowledge to assignments with a defined scope such as testing the performance of the infrastructure and understanding and verifying that requirements were successfully met Drives results, collects and analyzes monitoring data in test and production, and sees assignments through to completion Carries out day to day work assignments with some guidance and within documented parameters Escalates issues to appropriate leaders Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses Develops considerations for upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with 7+ years of residency in the U.S. Proficient knowledge of hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments Knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and moderate proficiency in relevant scripting languages (Python, Go, or Shell) Familiarity with security protocols and products, including Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, and OAuth Knowledge of DevOps/Systems Administration Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds  Basic technical knowledge of additional technical domains Basic data fluency and automation knowledge

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

AWS/Microsoft/Redhat Certifications preferred Proficient knowledge in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Hardware Benchmarking (program management, network management), Design (compliance, security), Network Engineering (planning, provision)
