Description We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer/JOAT to join our team in the education sector at our Northfield, Illinois location. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As an Infrastructure Engineer/JOAT, you will be tasked with managing both legacy and new technologies, supporting project teams, and implementing robust solutions to meet our needs. Responsibilities: • Provide proficient support to project and support teams, including handling firewall modifications and cloud implementation. • Leverage your expertise in storage and network technologies to enhance our infrastructural capabilities. • Utilize Amazon Web Services (AWS) primarily, while also expanding our presence in Azure. • Maintain and revamp firewalls as required to ensure optimal security. • Engage in on-premise technologies, such as storage, Cisco networking, and Palo Alto. • Manage general server technologies, preferably HP, but proficiency in any server technology is sufficient. • Put your top-notch communication skills to use by liaising effectively with different teams and stakeholders. • Apply your documentation skills to keep accurate and up-to-date records of all infrastructural changes and updates. • Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of our Cisco routers and ASA devices. • Take responsibility for our document storage systems, ensuring they are effectively organized and secure. Requirements • Proven experience and proficiency with Cisco ASA and Cisco Routers. • Demonstrated expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS). • Solid understanding and experience with Azure Storage. • Familiarity with Document Storage processes and systems. • Experience with Palo Alto Firewall is required. • Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse team. • Ability to balance multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. • Commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
