Release Manager Senior Analyst
Description
Serves as a technical lead on the planning, managing and monitoring the Releases scheduled. Supports and provides direction to junior professionals. Demonstration of End-to-End Release/Change Management Process to facilitate server operating system patching and coordination. May consult on the diagnosis and correction of application problems to avoid issues with the future deployments. Technologies span Change Management, ITIL Process. Works autonomously, only requiring “expert” level technical support from others. Utilizes in-depth professional knowledge and acumen to develop models and procedures, and monitor trends, within Release/Change Management scope.
Specific Areas of Responsibility
Basic concepts of Release & Deployment activities.
Analyzing build cycle-time and optimizing software release.
Implement best practices for change management activities.
Partner with and support infrastructure teams for all change management related activities.
Provide timely and monthly feedback for prior operating system maintenance cycles.
Manage and scale an elastic self-healing build environment CAB.
Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time.
Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes.
Skills
Strong personal planning and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communications skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with a broad range of groups and individuals, including IT technicians, internal and external service providers, IT management and business unit staff.
Ability to work independently, and as part of a team, to achieve deadlines for multiple tasks
Education
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least four or more years experience in release management or its equivalent in education and work experience
