Our client is seeking an Infrastructure Platform Engineer to join their team. As an Infrastructure Platform Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering department supporting the Data Science team. 1+ years of experience in the AI / ML space(MLOps) is needed in this role as well to help the Data Science Platform modernize. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be innovative, and have a passion for technology.
**Job Title:** Infrastructure Platform Engineer
**Location:** Charlotte, NC OR Iselin, NJ (Hybrid)
**Pay Range:** $95-100 per hour W2
(Due to client rules, we are unable to work with 3rd parties; all candidates must be able to work on Experis' W2)
**What's the Job?**
+ Platform Engineering: Monitor, configure, support, troubleshoot, and install the software and platforms that the Data Science team runs on.
+ Optimize and manage the existing environment with a focus on enabling efficient and scalable data science workflows.
+ Consult as an expert to develop or influence initiatives and resources for highly complex business and technical needs across Engineering.
+ Consult on the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, creativity, innovation, and advanced analytical and inductive thinking.
+ Provide expertise to client senior leadership on innovative Engineering business solutions.
**What's Needed?**
+ 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
+ 5+ years with Linux O/S capabilities.
+ Experience with Elastic /Vector DB and low latency data stores
+ Python scripting experience, big data technologies experience
+ 1+ years of experience in AIML area (MLOps).
+ 3+ years of supporting cloud infrastructures (GCP/Azure) as well as some experience building complex infrastructure programmatically with IaC tools (Terraform/Ansible etc.).
+ 3+ years of Pyspark experience.
+ 3+ years with VMWare Virtualization technologies.
+ Working knowledge of Auto ML technologies such as H2O Driverless AI, DataRobot, VertexAI, Elastic and Vector DB.
+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and business audiences.
+ Recent and demonstrated ability to influence management on technical or business solutions.
+ Working knowledge of design and build grid computing with CPU and GPU supporting AIML and NLP.
+ Working knowledge of high-performance storage technologies along with Object Storage.
