Infrastructure Project Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager for an enterprise-wide Windows 11 upgrade project. The successful candidate will oversee the upgrade of over 1500 users, ensuring the project remains on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of communication, organization, and technical execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Windows 11 upgrade project across over 1500 users including shifting all users to Office365 from a standard professional version of Office.
Drive tasks to closure to ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget.
Manage an open issues list and meet on a regular basis to drive closure.
Schedule and conduct stakeholder meetings, technical meetings, and build out communication plans, project charter, project plans, etc.
Provide overall project reporting, including weekly updates.
Maintain project artifacts such as charter, communication plan, Gantt chart, and timeline.
Hands-on daily management and progress tracking, including regular updates, roadblock escalation and resolution, migration scheduling, and escalation of key challenges.
Lead a technical team (starting with 2 techs) and coordinate with additional resources for desktop engineering and applications.
Oversee the upgrade of over 1400 devices to Windows 11 via autopilot, with flexibility for changes in the upgrade plan. Current plan is calling for a mix of new devices for some users and other users receiving different device.
Travel to remote locations as needed to assist with rollouts, primarily across the east coast and Ohio.
Ensure adherence to base image inventory standards and maintain CIS Level 1 certification for security.
Collaborate with the internal team for laptop procurement as required.
Develop a support model to optimize resources and minimize post-migration support challenges.
