Job Summary: Under general supervision, performs administrative, clinical, and data management duties for the BMT/Immunotherapy Program. Provides support to the Program leadership by coordinating clinical aspects of infusions and collecting clinical, research and demographic data. Communicates with patients, clinical staff, Apheresis staff, and Stem Cell Laboratory personnel. Educates the patient and family regarding the consenting process. Schedules testing, follows up on results, confirms eligibility, and schedules/initiates infusions in conjunction with the nursing staff, technical staff, and Medical Providers. Coordinates follow up protocol testing, remote data collection, and research blood tests. Assists in the development of standard operating procedures for the BMT/Immunotherapy program. Assists in the maintenance of the clinical research database in accordance with BMT/immunotherapy protocols. The role of the Registered Nurse at the KCI encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration and supervision. The RN assesses, provides, delegates, and evaluates patient care. The RN assesses, monitors and evaluates patient status by observing the patient, noting data collected by other team members and analyzing this information to independently develop a plan of nursing care which is implemented by the care delivery team. This plan of care has pre-established goals that are determined in conjunction with the patient and family.

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.BSN preferred.BMT and/or Oncology experience preferred.Licensed to practice as a registered nurse by the State of Michigan.
