Infusion for Health is a referral-based infusion center that services all providers in multiple locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Colorado, and Missouri. Our center is unique and offers individual comfortable private rooms for our patients. Our company is continuing to grow and we're looking for Per Diem Infusion RNs to support our centers in Torrance, CA and Long Beach, Ca. You will be contacted when a center has a need for additional PRNs to provide coverage.
Education and Qualifications Required for Consideration
Graduate of an accredited School of Professional NursingAssociate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)3 years of recent clinical RN experience in ICU, ER, or similar level of patient care. Prefer recent infusion experience but will train the right candidateCurrent and valid RN LicenseCurrent American Heart Association BLS or ACLS/PALS certificateSkills/Abilities
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experienceComputer literate; proficient in Word, Excels, and OutlookDemonstrated strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with team members and provider officesEssential Functions
Greets patients and escorts them to the infusion roomProvide patient education about their treatment and answer questions about adverse reactionsProvide general nursing care to patients; administers prescribed medications, per drug protocol for adults and children.Establish IV access and also access central linesObserve, record and reports patient's condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to the Clinical Director and records in electronic medical record (EMR)Provides accurate documentation in the patient's EMRProvide close monitoring of patients in infusion roomsMaintains timely flow of patient care and documentationAbility to handle emergency situations calmly and effectivelyReplenishes IV carts and cleans infusion roomsAnswer incoming telephone calls as neededFollows all OSHA guidelines to minimize exposure to blood borne pathogensFollow HIPAA regulations and practices with a high level of integrity and honesty by maintaining patient confidentialityFollows established policies, procedures, objectives and performance improvements.The hourly pay range for this role is expected to be between $50-$58. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
Pay: $50.00 - $58.00 per hour
