Ingredient Technician
Job Title: Ingredient Handling TechnicianJob Description The Ingredient Handling Technician is responsible for supporting the Pilot Plant and overall site operations in various Pilot Plant activities. This role involves working closely with the weigh-up technician and managing all material handling activities including trial ingredient picking, preparation, inbound and outbound material management, warehousing, and finished goods material management. Responsibilities + Execute daily tasks in accordance with material management best practices to minimize inventory adjustments. + Assist in batch preparation by locating and pulling materials, assisting in weigh-ups for trials, pulling waste for weekly disposal, and sample delivery. + Support operations in a safe and conscientious manner. + Work independently on related duties requested by supervisors with minimal instruction. Essential Skills + Sample preparation (food, biological, or chemical samples) + Hygiene training/experience with SOPs + Experience testing and weighing samples + Handling of small processing equipment Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 year of relevant experience + Experience operating in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment with minimal guidance + Ability to lift 50 lbs. as job requires lifting and repetitive motion + Experience using weigh-up systems or scales + Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team + Ability to work independently when needed + Comfortable with learning new computer systems and databases + Basic hygiene knowledge or training + Experience in conducting experimental or operations tasks in a food environment + Culinary or food technology basic education Work Environment This position operates in a dynamic environment where societies are aging and lifestyle-related diseases are increasing. This role involves a standard 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with standard hours from 8 am to 4 pm, including a 30-minute lunch break and additional breaks. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
