Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Injection Molding Blender/Silo Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is vital for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our injection molding processes, focusing on blending materials and maintaining silo systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Blending: Operate and manage blending equipment to ensure proper mixing of plastic materials according to specifications.Silo Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on silo systems, including material handling and storage equipment.Quality Control: Monitor and document blending processes to ensure consistency and compliance with production standards.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues related to blending and silo operations, minimizing downtime.Inventory Management: Assist in tracking inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, ensuring accurate stock levels.Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks; participate in safety training as required.Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to coordinate material availability and resolve any processing issues.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, blending processes, and equipment performance.

Qualifications:

Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in injection molding, plastics manufacturing, or similar industrial settings.Familiarity with blending equipment and silo systems.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.Commitment to safety and quality standards.Ability to organize work, effectively and economically, within the plant’s schedule(s).Good troubleshooting skills.Forklift Certified (we can do internally) and Elevated Lift CertifiedPLC and high voltage (up to 480) experienceResin Drying and Handling experienceHydraulic system repairs and troubleshooting

Physical Requirements:
