This individual is responsible for the start-up, shut down and troubleshooting of the molding process during normal production runs. Will also set up injection molding machines and related equipment to allow the manufacture of product that meets or exceeds the established quality levels at the standard rates that have been established. Assist the maintenance department with troubleshooting problems with injection molding machines and related support equipment, including automation.
Work with mold department supervisors, mold maintenance and mold technicians in order to identify problems in the processing of product. Take a proactive Preventive Maintenance position with the shop’s tooling. Work with the outside sources as necessary to develop processing techniques related to tooling. Review injection molding processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. Ensure injection molding processes are optimized and documented. Maintain cavitation. Assist action teams and increase awareness of continuous improvement to the technical staff. Start up new tools, document and develop process sheets. Successfully complete all required safety training and operator training courses. Other tasks as needed or as assigned.This is a second shift position from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM; weekend hours will be required.
\n Eligible to work in the United States. Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen. High School diploma or equivalent, some technical school preferred. Working knowledge of the injection molding process. Must be able to provide weekend work coverage and work overtime as needed.
