Injection Molding Process Engineer
Job Title: Injection Molding Process EngineerJob Description We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Engineer to develop and improve injection molding processes, ensuring the production of high-quality products. This role involves leading new program launches, troubleshooting production issues, and providing technical guidance to team members. Responsibilities + Develop and improve injection molding processes to ensure high-quality products. + Lead new program launches and assist in revising/reworking manufacturing processes. + Troubleshoot and solve production issues, optimizing quality, yield, and throughput. + Mentor and provide technical guidance to operators, technicians, and other team members. + Create, maintain, and update process documentation for clarity and consistency. + Start-up, operate, and shut down molding equipment independently. + Work with vendors to resolve equipment and material issues. + Monitor mold performance and recommend maintenance or upgrades based on production needs. + Communicate with customers to resolve issues and provide project updates. + Use data-driven solutions (e.g., statistical methods) to meet customer expectations for cost, quality, and delivery. + Support safety, environmental, and ergonomics initiatives within the facility. Essential Skills + Experience in injection molding processes. + Plastics experience. + Experience writing processes for injection molding. + Problem-solving and continuous improvement skills. + Technical leadership and communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree preferred with 3+ years of experience, or 5+ years of experience without a degree. + Strong technical background in injection molding processing, tooling, equipment, materials, manufacturing, and quality. + Strong leadership skills, capable of leading and overseeing 2-6 Process Technicians. + Excellent communication skills. Work Environment Clean manufacturing environment. 1st shift from 7 AM to 3 PM. Roughly 5 hours of overtime per week.
