Maintain mould changeover standards to ensure timely results to meet production requirements and minimize equipment down-timeMaintaining best operating parametersInitiate improvements related to process optimization and scrap reductionSupport continuous improvement through suggestions of long-term processing solutions and scrap reduction.Drive Kanban, SOS and JES systemsCommunicate with Process Techs shift to shift, to understand/pass-on, the current status of the operation as well as any operational issues. Review and sign all communications at the beginning of the shift, i.e. Quality AlertsMaintain and ensure all processes are running to baselineWork with Supervisors to understand processing focus areasWork with Quality group to understand acceptable level of parts qualityWork with engineering group to develop baseline programs, support trial efforts and implement improvement ideasEnsure documentation of all processing changesPerform preventative maintenance duties for all Moulding equipment and drive TPMMould installation and start-up, shut-down and removalMonitor tool cleanliness and ensure tool cleaning is conducted as requiredSubmit tool maintenance requests and follow-upMoulding equipment start-up and shutdown as per implemented proceduresEnsure correct raw material is being supplied to the moulding equipment, and proper material drying specifications are being followedTroubleshooting and understanding the machine functions/setting issuesEOAT maintenanceSet up and maintain MAFACT boardsImplement and drive Autosystems TPS systemEnsure housekeeping standards are maintainedAssume Supervisor responsibilities when required – scrap reporting/headcountQualifications:
Completion of Secondary School diploma ( 2 or 4 year Mechanical degree)Ability to learn and comprehend basic tool constructionSelf-motivated, ability to follow-up on task through to completionInitiate process optimization/performance improvements and scrap reductionAbility to learn the fundamentals of process control and understand the importance of consistent applicationAbility to learn how to properly establish a moulding process scientificallyProven track record for performance and attendance in existing positionCrane Slinger TrainingMechanical and electrical aptitude (instrumentation, LDVT, pneumatics, hydraulics)Strength and ability to troubleshoot and problem solveAbility to learn and comprehend Microsoft Office applicationsStrong communication skills, including technically with various departmentsInjection molding experience preferredPhysical Demands
