JOB SUMMARY
The Tooling Technician is responsible for the repair and “return-to-operation” of injection molding tools that are actively engaged in producing quality products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Perform preventive maintenance on Injection Molds according to procedure and reports the status of the molds to the supervisor.
· Operates machining tools and equipment for preventive and/or corrective maintenance of the molds.
· Perform repairs and tests on Injection Molds.
· Performs inventory of molding tools and parts and reports the status to supervisor.
· Store and maintain validated components.
· Stores non-validated components.
· Maintains stock inventories by ensuring the proper levels of component parts are always available for tooling repair.
· Improves the efficiency and accuracy of molded products by the documenting reasons for mold repairs and solutions to prevent future manufacturing interruptions.
· Follows all procedures and training.
· Maintains excellent attendance.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
· Advise supervisor of any recurring production failures so that prompt corrective action may be taken.
· Escalates recurring issues through the proper chain of command.
· Maintains logs of all molds that have undergone preventative maintenance, as well as controlling each of the molds.
· Maintains machine cleanliness standards.
· Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations.
· Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (JOB QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS)
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Must have experience repairing plastic injection molds.
· Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Machines and tools area knowledge
· Ability to Operate All Manual Mold Shop Equipment and Machines
· Mechanical skills
· Detail Oriented
· Determination
· Problem solving skills/troubleshooting.
