As a claims adjuster specialist, you’ll play a critical role managing attorney represented bodily injury (BI) claims. An ideal candidate will have experience managing an inventory independently, experience assessing and evaluating liability, coverage, and damages, as well as working independently and directly with attorneys to negotiate and settle claims. By joining our organization, you’ll have the support of a collaborative team that will help you grow your claims career. Read on to learn more about some of the day-to-day responsibilities.

This is a hybrid role. You’ll be expected to report to an office about four days per month for important meetings, training, and collaboration and will have the benefit of continued coaching from a supportive team. If you prefer an in-office environment, you’re welcome to work in the office more than four days per month.

Duties responsibilities

Determines coverage and liabilityNegotiate with claimants or their attorneys Settle claims and set reservesEstimates cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidentsAnalyze and interpret medical reports, follow-up with no-fault parties, and manage claims process to ensure efficient resolutionInterview, collect and document information from various people such as claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys, and police

Must-have qualifications

Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling OROne year in claims handling and a bachelor’s degree ORThree years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling and an associate degree

Preferred skills

Auto and/or commercial insurance experience

Compensation

$59,800 - $77,400/yearGainshare bonus up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
