To strengthen our Solutions Engineering department we are looking for an Innovation and Technology Product Owner.

 

In this team we work hybrid which means you can both work from our Headoffice in Eindhoven but also from home. You will report directly to the Head of Engineering.

 

What you do on a typical day

The Innovation and Technology Product Owner is responsible for effectively coordinating the identification and implementation of (new) technologies within our operations in Belgium and the Netherlands. This by managing the project backlog, ensuring alignment with stakeholders about financial expectations and priorities. This role involves organizing and overseeing project governance structures, coordinating cross-functional enablers, and addressing any potential obstacles. The Product Owner must communicate project status to senior management and take a leadership role to guarantee timely, budget-conscious, and quality delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Backlog Management Maintain and prioritize the project backlog, ensuring clear visibility into expected revenue and savings, ownership, key stakeholders, and factors that could either enable or hinder project success. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, refine requirements, and adjust priorities based on evolving business needs. Governance Set-up and Oversight Establish governance structures for project monitoring, reporting, and accountability. Facilitate cross-functional alignment and drive decision-making processes to support successful project outcomes. Senior-Level Reporting Prepare and deliver regular updates to senior leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and strategies for mitigation. Act as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries at higher organizational levels. Delivery Leadership Oversee project execution, ensuring milestones are met within the defined timeframes, budgetary limits, and quality standards. Provide guidance to project teams, resolve roadblocks, and adapt strategies as needed to maintain momentum and achieve objectives.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Demonstrated experience in backlog management, project governance, and stakeholder communication. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage delivery expectations in complex, fast-paced environments. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a focus on optimizing outcomes in alignment with business goals. You have excellent written and spoken knowledge of the English languages. Knowledge of the Dutch language is an advantage Bachelor or Master’s Degree
