Job Description

We are seeking a Research Lab Technician for the New Products Lab within the Innovation Department. This role is essential in supporting new product development through the design and production of prototypes, as well as leading process improvement efforts within that area.

ResponsibilitiesLearn the innovation process.Support new product development through design and production of prototypes.Lead process improvement efforts within the New Products Lab.Assist project managers with new product development projects.Manage sample production/benchtop samples in a fast-paced environment.Apply knowledge to monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and improve processes.Analyze samples using basic lab instrumentation and testing, including pipetting, pH, viscosity, scales, etc.Maintain sample/ingredient inventories and SOPs.Manage incoming documentation.Promote and encourage safe working practices.Gain exposure to leaders, including a formal presentation of projects.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related science field.Experience in a fast-paced environment.Experience with undergraduate research or in a lab setting.Ability to multi-task and process samples quickly.Strong technical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Leadership skills and comfort level with change.Additional Skills & QualificationsHands-on experience in a fast-paced environment such as a restaurant or lab.Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.Work Environment

The work environment is a lab type setting with a lot of good personalities. People in this group are flexible, have great organization skills, and are very detail-oriented. The lab focuses on flavor development for new products that will come to market. There is not a lot of instrumentation in the lab, and much of the work involves blending products. We seek individuals who are willing to get 'down and dirty' and contribute flexibly to other areas as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
