Virtua Reconstructive Orthopedics is looking for an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their patient-focused orthopedic practice.
The APP will primarily be inpatient working three, 12-hour shifts or four, 10-hour shifts. Candidates must have surgical first assist experience. This position will work at various locations in Southern New Jersey.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent and accessible orthopedic service at multiple Virtua hospital locations.
- Complete inpatient and ER consultations in all orthopedics specialties (spine, trauma, joints, hand, etc) in accordance with the plans set by the orthopedics physicians.
- Manage calls from the ER, hospitalists, and specialists.
- Assess and coordinate care for pre-operative patients.
- Manage post-operative inpatient care.
- Participate in Hospital Progression Rounds.
